Mystery Glitch Forces Alberta Energy Regulator to Send Staff Home, Shut down IT Systems

Alberta’s energy watchdog has sent home staff and shut down its information technology systems following mysterious technical problems.

The Alberta Energy Regulator said it’s experiencing problems with its core IT systems. Spokesman Ryan Bartlett said an investigation is underway into the cause of the outage.

Bartlett said the regulator has sent home staff, though he didn’t know how many.
