One-hour alcohol delivery app, Drizly, comes to Edmonton

In Edmonton, where consumers already enjoy deliveries of hot pizza, couriered parcels and fresh flowers, an American company sees the final frontier of deliveries in a bottle.

That’s right, booze.

Drizly, an American liquor-delivery app, goes live in the city Thursday.

The company has partnered with Alberta-based Liquor Depot, who will provide the inventory. Prices on the Drizly app or website will be the same as they are in Liquor Depot stores, but a $5 delivery fee will be charged regardless of your location or how much you order.
