Shaw to sell television networks to Corus for $2.65B, will use proceeds to purchase Wind Mobile

Calgary-based Shaw Communications is selling its media division to Corus Entertainment for $2.65 billion, in a deal that will fund its acquisition of wireless carrier Wind Mobile.

Corus will purchase Shaw Media for $2.65 billion — $1.85 billion in cash and 71 million Corus shares.
