Indeed, you’re proud of the expected energy-efficiency of your home, maximizing solar heat by using glass walls all along the east, south and west sides. Yet, just as you are about to start digging the foundation, a group of people arrive on the street and block the bulldozer, carrying “Save the Birds” signs. They claim that an inordinate number of birds will die from flying into the glass.
