In the North, which includes Casino Sault Ste. Marie, OLG Casino Thunder Bay, OLG Slots at Sudbury Downs and potential gaming sites in North Bay and Kenora, three to five hopefuls have been pegged, as OLG continues its procurement process for land-based gaming by issuing request for proposal (RFP) documents to pre-qualified proponents selected to bid on gaming bundles.
The RFP is essentially an invitation to those on the short list to submit “offer proposals,” says OLG spokesperson Tony Bitonti.
“This is the final step before we choose the service provider,” Bitonti said Tuesday. “This is not an open invitation to everyone. This is for those who went through the request for pre-qualification process.”
