MNRF Releases New List of Fishing, Hunting Fee Increases

The next time you purchase a game seal or fishing licence in Ontario, expect to pay a little bit more. Fees went up an average of 3% on almost all licence fees.

“We have listened to anglers and hunters who prefer small annual increases as opposed to a single periodic large increase. The fee increase has been endorsed by the Fish and Wildlife Heritage Commission,” said Karen Passmore, communications and marketing specialist with the Ministry of Natural Resources.

Passmore added, “It is also important to note that fees charged for hunting and fishing licences are used for fish and wildlife management purposes only.
