The Alberta Securities Commission is seeking to reciprocate trading and market prohibitions imposed in Ontario against a former investment banker who admitted to engaging in illegal insider trading.
Following a settlement with the Ontario Securities Commission last April, former CIBC World Markets and UBS Securities managing director Richard Bruce Moore was prohibited from trading securities and acting as an officer or director of a public company in the province for 10 years. In addition, he was prohibited from becoming a registrant or an officer and director of a registered firm for 15 years.
