It’s another day and there are more liquor-policy announcements from the B.C. Liberal government
Justice Minister Suzanne Anton has introduced Bills 22 and 27 in the legislature. According to a government news release, each reflects the province’s “modern, flexible approaches” to liquor licensing.
Bill 22, also known as the Special Wine Store Licence Auction Act, permits the general manager of the Liquor Control and Licensing Branch to “conduct one or more auctions to receive bids for the right to apply for a special wine store licence”.
