BC Taxi Association not happy with Uber’s victory in Ontario

A court ruling in Ontario has taxi drivers in Vancouver worried Uber might be coming to the city sooner than expected. A judge in Ontario ruled against the city of Toronto Friday, saying there is no significant evidence the ride share company breached city bylaws.

Mohan Kang with the BC Taxi Association says that Uber calling themselves a “communications company” is a way for them to get out of following the same regulations taxi drivers do.
