A recent licensing change by the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission will usher in a new era of beer production for Calgary-based Brewsters Brewing Company…
…“we’ve been lobbying the government for many years – more than 10 years – to allow us to sell our beer in the retail market and we never got any traction with them but in the last year they’ve had a real appetite to review all their policies, and to be progressive and to try and set local producers up for the most success possible. So we finally got what we wanted,” said Matt Lanigan, vice-president of the company.
