Neighbours Sour over Proposed Penticton Winery Lounge

‘It’s the equivalent of allowing a neighbour to have a 40-plus person party on their deck every day’ – Letting visitors sip a little Syrah in an outdoor space at a winery with views to Okanagan Lake in Pencticton, B.C. might seem like a good idea, but neighbours fear the new “lounge” will change the neighbourhood for the worse.

The Perseus Winery is in the process of applying for a “lounge licence” on its premises.

Neighbour Caley Tovell lives “a few feet” from the winery and she says through an accident of zoning, the winery is in an odd location.
