Warning to vape users after fire destroys bedroom

Vape users are being warned not to put the wrong batteries into their devices after fire tore through a bedroom this weekend.

Fire caused significant damage to the bedroom of a house in the West Midlands after a vape user fitted their device with an “incompatible battery”.

Substantial damage was caused to the rest of the property.

The West Midlands Fire Service crew shared an image of the bedroom along with the vape which caused the fire, reports BirminghamLive.

Tettenhall Fire tweeted saying: “Purple Watch attended a bedroom fire in Codsall this morning which was caused by using an incompatible battery for a vape.
