‘What are they going to do?’ B.C. farmland developer asks defiantly

The northern B.C. developer who has built a rodeo ground on his farmland after the Agriculture Land Commission rejected the development says he fears no legal repercussions.

“What are they going to do? Put a roadblock across and stop the people from coming onto my land?” said Fort St. John landowner Terry McLeod, who held a rodeo over the summer and hosted the RCMP’s musical ride.

And with only one officer now dedicated to enforcing the independent Crown agency’s decisions in all of British Columbia, McLeod may just be right.
