Wholly Owned | FDA Regs Deliver THR Monopoly to Big Tobacco | RegWatch

It would be a terrible irony if not for the fact that it appears deliberate. FDA’s regulation of the U.S. vaping industry not only delivers big tobacco a de facto monopoly on the legal sale of vaping products, but it also grants them a monopoly on harm reduction.

Yet it decries “tobacco harm reduction” as an “industry term.”

Joining us today to dissect this disturbing paradox is eminent scientist and cardiologist Dr. Konstantinos Farsalinos. This interview was shot on location in Warsaw, Poland, at the Global Forum on Nicotine.

Is tobacco control irresponsible?

  1. Here in the UK the WHO has very little credibility anymore, especially amongst the Vapers. I find it incredible that the WHO continues to put out the lies and misinformation about vaping, those of us who vape know the flavours where created and used by and for adults, the reason being the tobacco and menthol flavours were disgusting and made it almost unusable.
I continued to dual use until I learned how to make my own eliquids and which concentrates where safe to vape, once I found the flavours I really enjoyed then I quit smoking completely, that is almost 11 years ago now, I still make my own eliquids but can more easily access good quality safe flavour concentrates.
The legalising of Cannabis in the form of smokable or vapable forms does not make sense as long as they restrict the use of legal nicotine vapes

  2. Thank you again Brent. It’s always good to listen to what Dr. K. has to say.

I remember well when my Doctor said that my future life span would be measured in weeks if I continued to smoke. I was 68 years old at the time.
I am now 83, so vaping instead of smoking has bought me a lot of weeks.
My mental acuity is such that I still DIY my own flavored liquids (EVALI is a classic reason why), and I still wrap my own coils.
