Majority of Canadians want the CRTC to stay away from imposing content regulations on Netflix

More than half of Canadians like their Netflix just the way it is.

According to a new poll released Friday by the Angus Reid Institute, 56 per cent think online media should be free from the hand of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, which imposes Canadian content and ownership regulations on traditional media.

A considerable minority, 44 per cent, would like to see all media in Canada subject to the same regulations.
