Some industry figures have risen to the defense of the CRTC after federal Tory leadership hopeful Maxime Bernier on Tuesday said the agency has outlived its usefulness and its authority should be sharply diminished.
“The CRTC still has a role,” Manon Brouillette, president and CEO of Montreal-based telecommunications company Videotron said in an interview Wednesday after her keynote address at an industry conference in Toronto.
