Booze inspectors are looking into a Vancouver arts group after a private investigator’s report emerged detailing alleged drug use, sex acts, overcrowding and overserving at one of its parties.
The B.C. Liquor Control and Licensing Branch has told The Province it is “aware of the concerns regarding the Vancouver Art and Leisure Society, and is currently looking into the matter.”
The statement from the ministry responsible for the liquor branch came after DIG Investigations and Security was hired to attend and report on VAL’s Oct. 30 event “Backdoor Halloween,” which operated with a City of Vancouver arts event licence for 150 people.
