Health Minister Christian Dubé warned he’s planning to crack down on vaping.

“Christian Dubé intends to take action to better control vaping,” it says.

The statement followed a report by a “special intervention group on vaping,” which presented several recommendations for managing vaping in Quebec.

Other recommendations include creating a sales license for vaping products and tobacco products, reducing the number of vape stores near educational institutions and creating a new tax on vaping products.

“With the growing popularity of vaping products, especially among young people, it becomes imperative to act to prevent a new generation from becoming addicted to nicotine,” Dubé said.
